Time flies. I can't believe it is only 4 months. That means I'll have to get the dreaded letter together. WHY WON'T BONNIE LET IT GO!!!! DO PEOPLE REALLY CARE!!!
Good news. Everyone at Bonnie's and my work, while missing Brad, has been losing weight! I'm no scientist but I wonder if it is somehow connected to the absence of Starbuck's pastries every day?

Moxie - Our New Family Member
Just got back from Bowden, Georgia where we picked up our newest, and littlest, family member, Moxie - a blue and tan dapple, long-haired, miniature dachshund. But she is so much more than that. She is only about 2 pounds of non-stop action right now, but will grow to be about 10 pounds. She is a lover. Hopefully, Dusty and Anna Belle will take her under their wings.

A Quiet/Empty Nest Again
Wow, it's been wham bam departures for a couple of weeks. Cate, Bonnie and I spent a week at Amelia Island. When we got back Brad told us that our beloved Natasha aka Schmootie aka the best damn cat ever, passed away from old age the day before we returned. She was the prettiest calico cat you'd ever seen. We're going to miss her.
Then, a week later, within two days of each other, (a) Brad left to move to Wenachee, Washington, and (b) Cate returned for her second year at Georgia.
Brad has a college friend who lives in Wenachee and is letting Brad live with him until he gets his own place. Brad bought a minivan, loaded up what belongings he could (including his two cats - Lucy and Casper, and his childhood cat, DJ (aka Don Junior the 17-year told tabby) and headed west, with a stop along the way at Grandpa McBride's in Missouri and sightseeing in the Rockies.
Cate bought a used Mazda Protege with her summer earnings (and "good grade" stipend and loan from mom and dad) and headed back to her second year at UGA. Should be interesting with wheels.........hopefully it will permit her to make more trips home during the school year. Athens is only about 60 miles away.
So now Bonnie and I are sitting around our quiet and empty house. Even our two dogs Anna Belle and Dusty are feeling low - there are no cats to chase around.
